Artist Uses Food to Create Amazing Illustrations

Italian Diego Cusano, a jack of all trades, is a painter, musician and graphic designer who describes himself as “Fantasy Researcher”. He is so talented and imaginative that even the food in his refrigerator inspires him to

create amazing art pieces. For us, mushroom is a mushroom, but he can turn it into a ballerina by sketching a little. A garlic becomes a centaur (mythological creature with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a horse), ham sandwich becomes a crab, an ice-cream cone a mountain and many more. He can even illustrate zodiac signs using food. “In November, 2014, I began a new adventure on Instagram (@diegocusano): I started watching things from a different point of view, and from this new approach I started creating the illustrations, since than,  I’m publishing each day on the social networks: objects change their native function, through the graphic, to a new, different, unpredictable function.” he explains on his website.
