Paper quilling is the art of rolling strips of paper into coils or scrolls, and arranging them to form beautiful lacy designs. Turkish artist Sena Runa took up paper quilling as a hobby 1,5 year ago then quitted her job and devoted all her time for this art. She says “I began quilling three years ago, while I was searching the internet for inspiration to find the right hobby for me, I found a colourful picture that was made from paper using the quilling technique, but I had no idea what it was called. I tried to make it (I had colored papers from my earlier hobby: origami), but it turned out awful! After exploring many quilled creations online, I soon found my own style.” in an e-mail interview with Mymodernmet. She rolls, curls and bents paper strips to get a plane, air balloon, heart and many more.
