Hernando, Mississippi based Melissa Vincent’s passion for photography started in April 2011 when she joined Instagram and she was no more a home-stay mother. She takes magical and whimsical images and creates art then shares them with her followers. She explains her artwork as follows “Mobile art is my escape to Wonderland, my fantasy world, my trip to Oz. Instagram started me on the journey. From the beginning, the process of creating a photo on my iPhone was a soul bearing outlet for me. My work is surreal, story book like depictions of my every day surroundings and landscapes or other photos of nature. All of my ideas are rooted in the deepest part of the Mississippi delta. My goal as an artist is to paint the South in a magical and positive way through my iPhone art.” Her photography has been featured in many articles and impressive shots have been exhibited and sold in galleries across the United States and Canada.
