Singapore based self-taught photographer Greta Miranda is from the Plate Pixel team, a food photography service. She has always been into cooking as her parents used to run a small catering home-based business. Since she was very young, she helped them out with all stages of preparing food such as chopping, cleaning vegetables and meat, dessert making like chocolates, molding marzipan flowers, making puff pastries, cake decoration, etc. She loved Christmas time as her mum was in the kitchen cooking and baking most of all. Meanwhile, she grew interest in preparing and styling food. Then she started capturing the dishes with her smart phone, until her husband gave her a Nikon DSLR on her 30th birthday. Needless to say, she fell in love with photography and decided to take it up as a life-time career. She has mastered the manuel mode of digital photography. Although she loves using natural light for shooting the dishes or other flat lay compositions, she is also talented at studio flash. She is open for collaborating with food companies, restaurants, cafes and food brands. We are very fond of this type of still life photography, in other words edible shots by creative lenses and Greta is one of them. Have a look at her both delicious and artistic dishes and let us know whether you’ve enjoyed them or not.
