Artist Cooperates with Nature in Order to Paint His Cutouts of Animals

Coloring without paint? That’s no problem for Nikolai Tolsty, an artist who uses colors of nature to paint his silhouettes of animals. Nikolai uses paper in which he carves animals in various positions and then fills the voids with the nature’s vivid colors. The artist brings his silhouettes out in the nature where he then chooses the background color and then captures his finished artwork. With a little bit of imagination and craftsmanship Nikolai is able to create amazing images of animals, such as butterfly colored with gorgeous spring flowers, a mighty wolf painted by the fallen autumn leaves and many others. Nikolai’s art teaches us that we can all create something magical when we respectfully cooperate with mother nature.
