Amazing Illusionary Photography by Kel Holliday

Grown up in Oregon, currently living in Kansas City, self-taught photographer and digital artist Kel Holliday creates this fantastic series with her children. She started photography in high school and took mainly self-portraits as a teenager. It was like a visual-diary for her. “It wasn’t until many years, a walk down the aisle and two kids later that I realized I wanted so much more than just quick snapshots. Although, I still love capturing candid moments and I dabble in family, wedding and senior photography, my true love for fine art portraits and composites is something fierce.” she says. Kel finds inspiration from books, illustrations and old movies, but her kids are her biggest source of joy and the root of her ideas. She states in her bio that “I’m almost always looking to them for inspiration and concepts. Plus they’re free models… I am a firm believer that you should fiercely chase after whatever sets your soul on fire.” Kel is constantly seeking and striving for everyday magic to create fresh new art pieces to her portfolio. She can turn an ordinary photo a dream-like, outstanding one by editing it skillfully. “Remember when you were a kid and magic was so easy to believe in? There was no questioning its existence. It just was. I feel like I’m always teetering on that line between fantasy and reality.” she says. Today, we present some of her the most amazing and imaginary photos of her kids each of which will impress you. Take a look at them and remember to share this series with your friends.
