René Maltête is one of the pioneers of street photography, and during the 1950s and 1960s in France, he created something rather beautiful. At the age of 21, he used a Semflex 6×6 camera and he made his breakthrough with a lovely series of funny street photographs. He focused on a perfect timing, perspective, and irony and 50 years later, people are still loving his humorous images. René passed away 17 years ago, but his remarkable work still lives!
