Mexican artist Ricardo Solis was attracted to art and nature as a young boy and lets his mind wander about evolution and the origin of species. As a result his series of animal drawings and paintings came out. In his illustrations, you can see some little guys working on the art piece in a Gulliver-like fashion. He draws how zebras getting stripes, giraffes getting spots and bears being spun out of wool. Check out more of his work here.
