Elena Kalis is a Russian-born photographer who lives in The Bahamas, on a small island, surrounded by pristine clear ocean. She focuses on underwater photography and has an amazing portfolio and different projects on her website. Alice in Waterland is our favorite photo series of her that she’s released previously. Elena shoots her models in both pools and oceans and looks for people who feel comfortable underwater. She says “I like how different things and people look underwater, movements are graceful and free and it has a dreamlike quality that is difficult to achieve on land.” in one of her interviews.
