Brave Soldier Saved This Sick Kitten from the Horrors of War in Afghanistan

War is a terrible thing, but sometimes it can provide us with wonderful stories of human sacrifice, generosity, and love. One of those heartwarming stories comes from Afghanistan. Christine Weber Bouldin was serving there back in 2008 when she stumbled upon a very sick cat.  She immediately fell in love with the kitten and refused to leave this adorable fella there to die. Christine found a pet shelter in Kabul where the cat was diagnosed with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a non-progressive disease that affects motor skills. This is why the cat wobbles and falls when he walks. Christine named the cat Felix and was allowed to bring him home with her to the United States, but she had to pay $2000.  “I didn’t even care what I had to pay,” says the brave soldier. The cat now lives a happy life in a loving family.
