Portland, Oregon based self-taught photographer Kyle Thompson creates a surreal world in order to reveal his thoughts and imagination. He likes using emptiness as a concept and captures one person alone in their environment to depict the surreal feel of solitude. His images mainly take place in nature, abandoned houses and empty forests where he sets up surreal and poetic backgrounds. His work mostly consists of self portraits as he enjoys going out alone.
