Having spent hundreds of thousands of miles on the road and visited over 40 countries, photographer Elia Locardi has a rich album of fascinating photos and a respectable collection of boarding passes, train tickets, and bag tags. His world travel started in 2009 and after three years he sold out all his possessions to continue his way as a location-independent travel photographer with his wife. They say it is the best decision of their life. On his Facebook page he says “I’m not going to lie. It’s not all cakes and pies. This lifestyle can be very rewarding but it also has its share of unique and frustrating challenges. There have been many times where I’ve wanted to cash in my chips, give up, and just go home. So far, it has been one of the most amazing and challenging things I’ve done in my lifetime.” They are determined to continue this crazy life and keep on sharing amazing photos of beautiful places.
