Denim Jeans Used for Creating Realistic Paintings

“Everything you see in my work is denim, nothing else, no paint, nor bleach”, says Ian Berry. For unique minds, nothing needs to be conventional. For Berry, Denim Jeans seem to be working just fine for creating amazingly realistic art which looks at first glance as blue-toned photographs or indigo colored oil paintings. With many layers of different shapes and shades of denim jeans, Ian succeeds to deceive eyes of an observer that even stands in a touching distance. He captures contrasts of light using only blue black and gray jeans to bring to life melancholic urban scenes of a common day. Ian even took few commissioned portraits and as part of his series titled “My Beautiful Launderette”, he has made a life-size launderette made of denim. He is now a leading top 30 artist under 30 in the world and you can follow him on his Instagram.
