Charles Leval, The Man Who Gave Street Art a Breath of Life

Charles Leval, also known as Levalet is a street artist from Paris who doesn’t just paint on walls, but integrates the urban landscape into his work. So drain pipes become props for people to climb, or staircases become platforms for people to accomplish daring tricks. Drain covers become umbrellas and cans of coke become the subject for media interviews. His drawings of people are in real life size, which make his art more interesting, and even closer to people. His work is very humorous and playful so it is safe to say that Charles is keeping some of those parts of the city alive. Where once was an old building, now there is a joyful playground where his drawings are having so much fun. And the people of Paris are enjoying it.
