New York City based photographer Dane Shitagi is most know for creating and photographing the popular Ballerina Project. It is an ongoing series of photographs not just a typical dance photography as you may think but expressing the ballerina’s feelings and soul. The project has already been in progress for 14 years and photographed on traditional film and cameras but for the last two years, the project has begun to incorporate digital photography, too. Currently the Ballerina Project has one of the largest network of followers for ballet related pages on Facebook in the world.
