Cape Town based artist Lorraine Loots has an ongoing painting project named 365 Postcards for Ants and she creates a miniature painting each and every day since January 1, 2013. She uses paint brushes and pencils to draw on 10 x 10 cm pages, and the images themselves vary from 8mm to 30mm high. When asked to describe 365 Postcards for Ants project in three words, artist Loots replies “Connectedness, Sentimentality, Synergy”. From now on, her paintings will be Cape Town themed in celebration of the city’s designation as World Design Capital 2014. Check out some of her postcards below.
