Woman Quits Stressful City Job to Take Care of Baby Goats

Leanne Lauricella quit her job in NY because she felt too much stress and was searching for more meaningful life than the one she was living. In 2014, Lauricella visited a farm with baby goats. She instantly fell in love with them and adopted a pair of her own. Soon after that she adopted 3 more and decided that that was the life she wanted to live. “Some people have called me foolish or irresponsible for quitting my job without a plan, but for me, it was a leap of faith,” Lauricella explains.” She traded high heels for muck boots and Mercedes for a classic Chevy pickup. She created an Instagram account where she posted her daily adventures and on the first day of her unemployment she got 30,000 followers and took that as a sign that she was on a right track. “When you find and follow your passion, all of the silly things you thought were important, don’t seem so important anymore”. Finally, her story leads to establishing an organization called Goats of Anarchy that takes care of orphan goats with special needs or disabilities.
