She also has a background in Culinary Arts. “I first adopted a plant-based diet in 2015, and immediately began experimenting with recipes and creating veganized versions of my favourite dishes. With my culinary background, it is my goal to use my training and experience to create the best possible vegan recipes for you to enjoy.” she states on her blog. She provides loads of recipes to make naturally sweetened, plant-based snacks, desserts and all are vegan! She says; “All of my recipes are made using vegan-friendly ingredients and there are lots of gluten-free options here too. If you are gluten-sensitive or if you have or know someone with a nut-allergy for example, you can use the recipe index to easily filter out those recipes! I want to make it as easy as possible for you to find exactly what you are looking for.” She also adds; “Expect to find everything from classics like my vegan Italian meringue buttercream and creamy dairy-free ice cream, mouth watering celebration cakes to pantry staple vegan banana bread and easy no-bake treats. Oh, and there’s the odd savoury recipe thrown in here and there!” If you wonder what’s with the name “Addicted to Dates”, she explains as follows; “When I first went vegan, I found myself trying so many different foods that in the past I would overlook. I was fascinated by how versatile the humble date is. I used dates to form the base of my very first vegan brownie recipe, and I’ve been hooked ever since!” From veganised versions of classic recipes to her own creations, you need to check out her blog and follow her on Instagram for your new kitchen adventures.
