Cat No One Dared to Touch Found a Human Who Hugged Him

Valentino was very unfortunate cat people were afraid to touch for many reasons. His fur was hardened and riddled with grime and eyes completely shut and swollen and he couldn’t see anything. With everything mentioned he had also sarcoptic mange, a horrible skin condition highly contagious to both cats and humans. The day Elaine Seamans passed by Valentino’s cage was the day his luck changed. He was kept at the ‘Baldwin Park Animal Shelter’ where Elaine couldn’t just ignore his silent scream for help. “He reached out with his little paw and made the tiniest meow,” Elaine said. “It was like he was screaming without verbalizing it: ‘Please help me’… There are times when it’s not an option to keep walking,” she adds. “You just have to stop. This was one of those times.” Elaine pressed the Valentino to her heart without even wearing the gloves and the kitten gently let his head rest on her shoulder. “That was it. I had to get him out.” She contacted Toby Wisneski from ‘Leave No Paws Behind’ and took Valentino to the vet where he’s getting the medical care he needs. With hopes that he’ll make it they expect him to be ready for adoption soon.
