Artist Pays a Wonderful Tribute to Nature by Carving Stunning Things Out of Fallen Leaves

Autumn is the most inspirational of all seasons. Fallen leaves all around gives us countless possibilities, and yet, most of us just sweep them away in some corner. Well, that’s not the case with Kristen Meyer, a multimedia artist and designer from New Haven, CT. She uses every leaf to create something unique and beautiful. For Kristen, a fallen leaf is not something you walk across during the autumn, for her, a leaf is a marble waiting to be carved into a thing of beauty. Through her minimalist art, she is able to create incredibly detailed artwork. Her work is inspirational, but whimsical and clever at the same time. Through some poetic themes and playful motives, Kristen manages to give an afterlife purpose to a fallen leaves, and through that process of immortalization she gives something back to the mother nature.
