Magnificent Christmas Tree Officially Opens the Holiday Season in Vilnius

It’s that time of the year again, guys! Christmas spirit is slowly but surely creeping in, and people in Vilnius, Lithuania know how to start off their holiday season in style. Citizens of this beautiful city lit up a huge Christmas tree at the Cathedral Square by using a net illuminated by 50,000 light bulbs. Everyone in Vilnius was amazed by this wonderful decoration and even the mayor, Remigijus Šimašius, said the tree looks like something from a fairy tale. “It’s time for every town and city to decorate and light their Christmas trees, and just celebrate this special time of the year”, the mayor said. The tree is 27 meters high, and 50 meters wide. In total, it covers 2,500 square meters and it can be seen from a plane. Magical!
