Exquisite Photography by Berta Vicente Salas

Barcelona based young Catalan Berta Vicente Salas defines photography as a way to mark the rhythm of her life. She took her first photos with a Polaroid at a friend’s birthday party when she was eight. After that she kept on capturing people and started to take it more seriously by generating different ideas and exploring new techniques. She says in one of her interviews “I feel safer if I know that I have a camera with me… I like to think of photography, drawing it in mind, having the freedom to invent. I also like the complicity created between the photographed person and photographer, trying different scenes to capture what I have in mind and finally find it.” She was nominated for Sony World Photography Award in the category of best young photographer in 2011. Today, we showcase some of her fantastic portraits for you.
