Bump Paintings on the Bellies of Pregnant Women

We’ve seen countless artists and photographers until now each of which is extraordinary in a way either for their style or the material they use, etc. Cornwall, England based artist Carrie Preston is one of them, maybe even on the top of our list, since she chose pregnant bumps as her canvas and painted over 130 bumps so far. She explains her work on Bored Panda as follows “I paint bumps! It may seem completely mad to some people, in fact some even go as far to describe it as vulgar. I personally see it as beautiful…A bump painting session takes about 2 hours to complete and the soon-mum-to-be can sit and relax while the cooling sponges and brush strokes create her chosen design. Babies always kick a little during the painting session too! I take photographs after so that the mums have a keepsake for their baby albums.” Enjoy the photos!
